Course objectives:
- Differentiate between persisting post-concussive symptoms and Functional
Neurological Disorder (FND) overlay to inform appropriate clinical management. - Explain the role and clinical value of dual-task assessment in the evaluation and progression of patients recovering from concussion.
- Conduct a detailed examination of the cervical spine, including assessment and intervention strategies for cervicogenic contributions to post-concussion symptoms.
- Develop safe and evidence-based return-to-sport plans that account for clinical trajectory, exertional readiness, and functional demands.
- Identify common headache phenotypes following concussion and apply targeted management strategies aligned with each type.
- Perform a comprehensive assessment of exertional intolerance and implement
appropriate progression strategies to restore physical capacity. - Design and apply full sensory-motor interventions tailored to the individual’s clinical profile and recovery phase, integrating case-based reasoning for clinical application.
