This intermediate-level course is designed for rehabilitation providers seeking to advance their clinical decision-making and intervention strategies in concussion management. Building on foundational knowledge, this course explores more complex clinical presentations and nuanced management approaches essential for patients with persisting post-concussive symptoms. Participants will learn to differentiate between prolonged recovery and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) overlay, an often-misunderstood contributor to symptom persistence. The course emphasizes the growing role of dual-task assessment in safely progressing rehabilitation and introduces advanced concepts through targeted deep dives into cervical spine involvement, exertion intolerance, and sensory-motor system integration. Clinical topics include return-to-sport planning, headache phenotyping and management strategies, and a structured framework for individualized sensory-motor interventions.
